You must have started your journey to distribute gifts to your children all over the world. It is sure to be a tedious journey. The routes are complicated and long. You are also not getting younger. I like to share some ideas to improve the quality of your movement.
As I understand you are still using your dated sledge drawn by Rein Deer. This is high time that you go for some alternative mode. Firstly, the Rein Deer are endangered species. They should be left on their own for the sake of preservation. Next, yours is one of the ancient mode of transports. You should take assistance of carts powered by solar batteries. They need minimum maintenance. The batteries are charged through sun rays which is available aplenty.
I thought this time I would better send you a  message through Baba's cell phone and come to know that you do not have one. I would further suggest you to buy a cell phone. Trust me it is really useful.
I hope you shall considerations to my proposals.

So happy to find your letter in my mailbox. I am overjoyed to find that you thought about the problems I face and suggested some good solutions. I would be very  happy to follow your suggestions but alas, the first one is difficult to implement. This time of the year you are enjoying a nice summer and sunshine but not too many places on the globe are sunny now. They are covered with snow and gloomy. You may appreciate I will not find enough solar power to run my vehicle through out . I do not have much option but to go back to my good old sledge.
You rightly pointed out the need for a cell phone. I am seriously considering buying one. But please send me letters the way you did this time in stead of sending messages.
Physical letters expresses your emotions and your literary skills which messages fail to convey.

Ex-Meconian's PICNIC at PAT'S COTTAGE at Sonarpur, on 3rd January 2016

On 3 rd .January, 2016 I found a foggy morning from the 4 th Floor balcony of our flat at Mecon Tower though with a mild assurance of forthcoming sunshine. I could not hope for good Picnic scheduled on the day. By God’s grace I was proved utterly wrong.  Sharply at 7.45 AM a bright yellow School Bus showed and parked at the gate. Within minutes my intercom rang and I and my better half Jayasree hurriedly came down. She went inside the bus and I, along with some others, was waiting for the desired ones to assemble. Soon all gathered and the Bus started at 8.15 AM towards its destination. Although a School Bus it was carrying passengers who are mostly Grand Parents of School going kids. The destination was Pat’s Cottage at Sonarpur where we, the Ex-Meconians and their families, would gather for the yearly Picnic. This photograph which came out in a daily recently reminds that we have less than couple of weeks left to witness the polling to elect the people's representatives for the 15th Lok Sabha.Seasoned politicians are too busy to campaign and hell bent on convincing that they are best suited to do the best for the people.The photograph portrays a well known politician,presently a senior cabinet minister, asking for votes with folded hands from a "Common Man." We can not make out the face of the "Common Man." in the photograph.
